Role Overview
The Sales Manager will lead all aspects of the variable operations, driving business growth, profitability, and an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate is results-driven, with a proven history of success and a hands-on leadership style that directly influences outcomes. A minimum of 3+ years in a sales management role is preferred, and Ford training is considered an asset.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the variable departments (New, Used, F&I) with hands-on coaching and support for the sales and finance teams.
- Analyze sales & inventory trends to ensure the right mix of new and used vehicles, optimized for market demand and turnover, while maximizing profitability.
- Appraisals, purchasing, reconditioning, and marketing of used vehicles.
- Drive recruitment, training, and performance management while developing future talent.
- Champion a culture of excellence through action and results.
- Focus on repeat and referral business using Dealership CRM systems.
- Build lasting customer relationships that create loyalty and referrals.
- Stay up-to-date on manufacturer programs, products, and promotions, sharing updates with the team.
- Assist in forecasting unit sales, profits, and expenses for New and Used departments.
- Collaborate across the dealership to identify opportunities and resolve issues.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in automotive sales and finance, including leadership roles.
- Ford experience is a strong asset.
- Proven ability to lead and build a cohesive team by motivating, inspiring, and engaging employees.
- Collaborative team player committed to working with leadership and staff to align goals and drive results.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Results-driven, with excellent planning, organization, and execution skills, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, demonstrating tact, empathy, and professionalism with both guests and employees.
- Post-secondary education in dealership management, business, or a related field is considered an asset.
- A valid Driver’s LicenceÂ

We are looking for a person who believes in creating long-term relationships through product knowledge, honesty, and follow-up with our customers. For the right person, we will invest in training while supplying a wage guarantee.

Our ideal candidate should be able to use online and mobile systems to effectively canvas, communicate and follow up with clients. Knowledge of the Ford product and internet savvy would be a benefit. You will work with sales management to achieve personal and business sales goals.
Responsibilities:
– Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
– Identify potential leads and actively pursue sales opportunities
– Present and demonstrate products or services to customers
– Negotiate and close sales deals
– Meet or exceed sales targets and goals
– Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries or concerns
– Collaborate with the sales team to achieve overall sales objectives
– Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors
Qualifications:
– Proven experience in automotive and/or equivalent industry sales
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers
– Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
– Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
