FAQ | What You Need To Know About Your Vehicle’s Tires

Q: I need new tires. How do I check what size I need?

A: In order to check what size of tires you need, you can find the tire size located right on the tire. Normally, it is displayed on the side of the tire, with the model number beginning with a P or LT. For instance, on the 2015 Ford F-150 Lariat the stock tire number is LT275/65R18C.
You can also look at the placard on the driver’s side door. In most vehicles, the placard is placed inside the doorjamb. The placard outlines valuable information, including the tires’ stock size. The stock size refers to the size of tires your vehicle came equipped with when it was purchased.
Q: Why do I need to change my tires?

A: It is important to change your tires regularly for safety and performance.
Q: When should I put on my winter tires?

A: Experts recommend changing your winter tires when the weather drops to 7 degrees celsius.
Q: When is it time to switch to my all-season/summer tires?

A: Once the weather goes above 7 degrees celsius, it is time to take your winter tires off and put on your all-season/summer tires.
Q: Where is the best place to store my tires?

A: In order to keep your tires in their best condition, it is important you store them in a dry, cool place that is away from the sun.
